AMA Webcast Today – Web Analytics for Today’s Social Media Strategy

by deirdrewalsh

Today, I’ll be presenting Web Analytics for Today’s Social Media Strategy. I will be discussing how I maintain and promote an award-winning community for over 140,000 engineers. I’ll also provide info on social media marketing strategy for product launches that involve lead evangelists, brand blogs, viral videos, and social networks.

Here is the description from AMA’s Website, where you can register.

WHY: Marketers and web analysts are still learning how different the social web is from traditional web marketing. It’s tempting to analyze the social web by making it fit into traditional web analytics for counting views, clicks, conversions, etc. But the social web is a connection between people – not just between websites.

During this webcast, Deirdre Walsh will share her success story of how National Instruments created a top-down approach to  define and pursue clear business goals with their social media strategy. In addition she will share how to:

  • Leverage a branded community as the foundation of your social media strategy
  • Foster deeper customer engagements with social media monitoring tools
  • Measure success and broadly engage your employees in company social media outreach initiatives
  • Align metrics to business objectives, including customer support, marketing, product development and sales

Deirdre will be joined by Akin Arikan, Director of Product Strategy, Unica Corporation. Arikan is a web analytics expert, noted speaker and writer.

Speakers:
Deirdre Walsh, Community & Social Media Manager at National Instruments

Akin Arikan, Director of Product Strategy, Online Marketing Solutions Group, Unica Corporation

Anna Carbonara, Moderator, American Marketing Association
