LabVIEW Virtual User Group Meeting = Huge Success!

by deirdrewalsh

As the community marketing manager at National Instruments, I’m in charge of finding innovative ways to help our users connect online and offline. Yesterday, 108 community members from 4 countries attended the second virtual user group meeting on LabVIEW 8.5 for multicore led by R&D engineer Al Vrancic.

Organizations represented include BAE Systems, Conoco Phillips, University of Windsor, Freescale Semiconductor, Goodyear Tire, Halliburton, Honeywell, IBM, Intel, Lockheed Martin, NASA, Pfizer, Raytheon, Virginia Tech, Zerox, etc.

Here are the highlights:

  • 83% think the technical level of the presentation was “just right”
  • 90% think virtual user group meetings should happen monthly
  • 87% rated the event at least a 4 out of 5
  • 38% of those who registered attended

Thanks to the entire virtual user group team for making this event a huge success!  I encourage you to keep finding ways to take “ordinary” corporate communications techniques, in this case a user group, and innovating.
